Develop a Staff Development and
Performance Review (SPDR)
Vital Resources where asked to design a system that would
allow both academic and support staff
to discuss their performance
and development on
a regular basis.
The need for a Performance system was highlighted in a staff
opinion study in which staff highlighted their concerns about
the lack of focussed staff training and development and performance
feedback.
Great emphasis was to design a system that supported
the university's Strategic plan.
Vital Resources role was to work with the University's
internal Human Resource / Organisational Development staff,
to design,
consult with management and staff groups and deliver
training on the use of the system.

introduce a performance culture.
